Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage work scope, schedule, and budget of traffic engineering design projects
Prepare plans, specifications, and construction cost estimates for traffic signals, lighting, ramp metering, transportation electrical systems, signing, pavement delineation, and construction stage traffic handling
Prepare traffic operations analysis to support traffic design projects
Assist in preparing proposals for traffic engineering design projects
BS in Civil or Electrical Engineering
Registered as a Professional Engineer in Civil, Electrical, or Traffic Engineering. preferably in California. If registered outside California, it is expected to be registered in California within 2 years
7+ years of experience in preparing plans, specifications, and cost estimates for traffic signals, lighting, ramp metering, transportation electrical systems, signing, pavement delineation, and construction stage traffic handling
Effective communication skills, written and verbal
Proficiency in using MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
Knowledge of using AGI and/or VISUAL photometric analysis software
Knowledge of using Auto-Turn software
Knowledge of using Synchro and SimTraffic traffic analysis software
