College of the Ozarks invites applications for a full-time engineering laboratory director to manage the teaching laboratories and mentor students in the multi-disciplinary engineering program. The preferred starting date is no later than July 31, 2024.
This position requires a self-motivated, problem-solving, versatile individual with strong organizational skills and the ability to work and communicate effectively with students, staff, faculty, and community members. The successful candidate must embrace the College’s Christ-centered mission and demonstrate engineering excellence, a commitment to serving as a mentor and positive role model, and an interest in the relationship of engineering and Christian faith.
The laboratory director’s primary responsibility is ensuring the effectiveness and safety of the engineering program’s laboratories. The laboratory director will oversee equipment training programs as well as train and supervise student workers, work with the engineering faculty and student workers to maintain and operate the building and equipment, and manage the engineering department budget and purchasing activities.
College of the Ozarks is a small (1,400 students), liberal arts, work-study college with a commitment to evangelical Christian faith and service located in Southwest Missouri, near Branson (www.cofo.edu).

A bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology with two years of relevant experience is required. Ten years of experience that includes industry, laboratory director, management, and educational support roles is preferred. Rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
