Starting salary ($110K - $140K) based on education and experience.

Southern Minnesota Municipal Power Agency, a joint-action electric utility, located in Rochester, MN seeks a project manager to develop, implement, and manage the Agency’s reliability standards compliance program.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop, communicate, implement, and oversee policies and procedures to ensure that the Agency systems are compliant with the with standards of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), and Midwest Reliability Organization (MRO).
Oversee the maintenance of evidence databases necessary to demonstrate compliance with applicable standards.
Implement processes to track standards development and due dates for compliance.
Act as the subject matter expert for the Agency’s applicable NERC standards.
Coordinate the development, technical review and submittal of compliance evidence, self-certifications, data requests, NERC alerts, corrective actions plans, self-reports and mitigation plans.
Qualifications for the position:
Four-year degree in engineering, business, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Three to five years of increasingly responsible and applicable utility experience.
Experience in regulatory compliance, quality control, monitoring, tracking, or reporting compliance requirements to governmental or other regulatory entities in either the utility or non-utility industry is beneficial.
Knowledge of electric utility operations, NERC standards, and MISO or other regional transmission operator practices is preferred.
