Cape Cod Tech is hiring a teacher for its Chapter 74 Engineering Technology program. Candidates should possess strong content knowledge, industry experience as an engineer and a desire to teach and work with young adults.
Teacher responsibilities include providing high quality and coherent instruction based on the Chapter 74 MA Curriculum Frameworks in Engineering Technology. This is a four-year vocational program that introduces students to the basic skills inherent to mechanical, electrical and civil engineering as well as architecture, robotics and computer integrated manufacturing. Students gain accreditation in several computer software programs as well as experience with 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC machines and robotic manufacturing equipment. The program is focused on preparing students for post secondary college or employment in the engineering technology area.
The teacher is tasked with promoting the learning and growth of all students through instructional practices that establish high expectations and creating a safe and engaging learning environment, developing partnerships with families and community members and working to maintain an ethical, culturally proficient and collaborative teaching practice. Familiarity with Project Lead the Way Principles of Engineering and 3D CAD design software such as SolidWorks is helpful.

Cape Cod Regional Technical High School is a regional vocational technical ninth through twelfth grade located in Harwich, Massachusetts. In addition to full academic curriculum, we offer four years of training in fifteen (15) technical areas including Engineering Technology and Information Technology.
