TESLA, INC. has the following position available at its corporate headquarters in Palo Alto, CA:
Staff Software Engineer, Drive Inverter. Develop real-time embedded software that implements control and safety management of the drive inverter and motor. Lead and contribute to technical requirements, safety analyses, interface design, hardware bring-up and system validation and integration. Collaborate with drive inverter, motor, braking and HV systems mechanical/ electrical design teams. Lead and contribute to full life-cycle of firmware development from concept through integration, test and high volume manufacturing.
Requirements: Master's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related. Six (6) years of experience in Realtime programming for embedded systems. Work experience to include: Six (6) years of work experience in C and Assembly; Six (6) years of work experience with micro-controllers (such as TI C2000, ARM, PowerPC, or X86); Six (6) years of work experience developing drivers and bootloaders for realtime systems; Board bring-up, H/W, FPGA or H/W validation; Debuggers, logic analyzer or oscilloscope; Development of multi-threaded and event/ interrupt driven embedded applications; Hardware interfaces and devices (such as 12C, SP, UART, Non-Volatile Memory NOR, or NAND); and Electro-mechanical systems such as sensor system. Any and all experience may be gained concurrently. Successful completion of reference and background checks is required.
Wage: $182,500.00/ yr. (8am-5pm, Mon-Fri)
