This is managerial work directing activities of the Bureau of Water Supply Planning.
Job duties include:
Provides general oversight and direction for the water supply planning, minimum flows and levels and agricultural assistance programs; directly supervises the staff responsible for leading these programs.; Indirectly supervises all staff in Bureau of Water Supply Planning; Plans and coordinates the Bureau’s work activities and programs; Communicates program vision and ensures alignment with direction of Division of Water Supply Planning and Assessment, District, and other water management districts.
Creates work plans for the Bureau and prepares corresponding budget and monitors work plan status and associated budget; creates performance measures and assesses progress against those measures; supports Bureau staff in accomplishing the workplan of the bureau and division.
Provides progress updates on water supply plans, reports, and related projects to Division Director and others as requested; provides presentations to internal/external stakeholders as required.
Coordinates with other Bureaus and Divisions internally to ensure quality, accuracy, and alignment of Bureau work; represents Bureau/Division/District at internal/external meetings as needed.

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a majorin engineering, planning, hydrogeology, water resource management, natural resources or related field and five years’ scientificbased work experience in the above fields, two of which must have been in a supervisory capacity.
A master's degree from an accredited college or university in a field related function of thebureau can substitute for one year of the required non-supervisory experience as described above.
A doctorate from an accredited college or university in a field related function of the bureau cansubstitute for two years of the required non-supervisory experience as described above.
Professional experience as described above can substitute on a year- for-year basis for the requiredcollege education.
Prefer candidate to be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) in the state of Florida.
