DUTIES - Perform professional engineering work including the preparation of designs, specifications and plans related to transportation and utilities projects and/or administration and review of consultants’ work in the design of projects including water and wastewater treatment systems, and other public works projects. Research applicable codes, regulations and requirements for assigned projects; compile information, develop bid documents and coordinate required advertising for bids. Proficient oral and written communication is needed. Under the direction of the Senior Engineer, he/she is able to perform assigned duties with minimal supervision.

REQUIREMENTS - (Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the job.):
Two (2) years of increasingly responsible professional civil engineering experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering or a related field.
Ability to test for Registered Professional Engineer of Washington State (PE) preferred.
