Amec Foster Wheeler Environment & Infrastructure, Inc. is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Compliance Audit Specialist to support our private sector, local, state and federal clients nationwide. This full-time position will report to our Washington, DC area office located in Chantilly, Virginia.

The candidate’s primary role will be to perform environmental, health and safety compliance audits for both federal and commercial clients. This role will have an emphasis on safety compliance auditing; therefore, a candidate with safety auditing experience and the Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) credential is required. The candidate will provide technical evaluation and implementation for various environmental, health and safety programs and deliverables. The candidate shall be comfortable preparing for and facilitating meetings at audit sites, preparing meeting notes, data gathering and analysis, performing inspections and assessments, document writing and preparation and developing corrective actions. The candidate must be accountable to work independently. Strong organizational, communication and data management skills are essential.
•Assisting in evaluation and development of environmental management systems (EMS)
•Managing projects of size and scope commensurate with project management ability
•Assisting in proposal writing and participate in marketing opportunities
•Conducting site visits to make observations and gather information to evaluate compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations, permits and plans
•Providing safety-related training to internal staff and external clients
•Assisting in creating and updating environmental / safety plans and permits
•Assisting in other environmental due diligence and assessment-related work
