You will perform statistical analysis and methodology development. Primary areas of emphasis are in industrial or manufacturing statistics including:
Design of experiments, Exploratory data analysis, Statistical quality control, Regression methods, reliability and maintainability analysis, margin and uncertainty analysis, and metrology. You would also work closely with Sandia project teams to help them better collect, analyze and interpret data to optimize products and processes, while working on multidisciplinary teams to tackle engineering problems via exceptional teaming and interpersonal skills.
You will help to provide innovative statistical solutions to help solve the most challenging national security problems and are leaders in the advancement of statistical methodologies for national defense applications through research, collaboration, and education we inform the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data to help Sandia execute its missions.
You will develop, and deploy statistical algorithms to significantly enhance national security capabilities.
You will participate as a collaborator, principal investigator, and consultant in a broad range of activities that extend across and outside the Laboratories. The activities include project participation (via statistical analysis and methodology development), applied research and development, teaching, and publishing.

Minimum of a Master's Degree in Statistics, Operations Research, Reliability Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Experience working in an engineering environment.
Undergraduate or graduate coursework in an engineering discipline.
Knowledge of and experience with designing, planning, and executing research, design, and development projects.
Exceptional teaming and communication skills.
Position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) granted Q-level security clearance.
Sandia is required by DOE directive to conduct a pre-employment drug testing, and a pre-employment background review that includes personal reference checks, law enforcement record and credit checks, and employment and education verifications.
