Manages the content and design of SME’s websites to establish a strong, cohesive online presence for the organization and applies CMS expertise, development and graphic design skill to all web-based products and services.
Works closely with broader Marketing team to plan SME site design and ensure that all sites are appropriately updated, dynamic and user-friendly.
Works with Marketing Team to develop site navigation by categorizing content; funneling traffic through content.
Works with web master or web developers on web design and deliverance of graphical content to end users.
Partners with Marketing team to receive site content and graphics including written content, images, icons, banners, audio enhancements, video enhancement, etc.
Prepares site by installing and configuring server software; installing programming language using authoring and formatting tools; ensuring cross-platform compatibility; establishing links.
Works with Marketing Team to determine to determine a locatable site by registering site domains with search engines.
Ensures timely site upgrades by making content and graphic changes; ongoing monitoring of site performance and results; identifies and evaluates opportunities for improvements.
Maintains appearance of all SME websites according to content and display standards.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Multimedia, Graphic Arts, Visual Communications, or Illustration or equivalent related work experience.
Demonstrated ability with web graphic design and independently executing graphic design projects.
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, including strong editing, proofreading and problem-solving.
One year experience with Kentico CMS, Mura CMS, WordPress, or other commercial .NET CMS is a plus.
SQL database management or previous web design/usability development a plus.
Familiarity with best practices for producing strategic and effective web content, and current web and online trends.
Audio/video production and editing skills preferred.
