Department of Construction Management: School of the Built Environment. Bowling Green State University. Position: Full-time, renewable, non-tenure-track position, open rank (Instructor, Lecturer, or Senior Lecturer), Department of Construction Management, School of the Built Environment. Start Date August 2018. Primary Responsibilities: Teach and develop a variety undergraduate-level courses in construction management, including but not limited to: Surveying? MEP? Construction Materials and Testing? Construction Accounting/Finance? Capstone? as well as other introductory and advanced courses in construction management. Perform service to the department, school, college, and university as well as to the profession. It is expected that this position will carry with it, strong industry-related experience that promotes greater networking opportunities for the department with the construction industry. Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must hold a Master’s level degree in any one of the following areas: Construction Management? Civil Engineering? Business Administration? Architecture? or a comparable master’s degree. Applicants must have a minimum of five years of verifiable construction management or related industry experience? OR, a PhD in Construction Management, plus at least two-years of construction management experience. Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated ability to teach introductory and advanced courses in construction management at a collegiate level using effective delivery processes, as evidenced by artifacts such as course syllabi, student evaluations, peer evaluations, etc. Professional level certification such as: Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) Certified Construction Manager (CCM)? American Institute of Constructors (AIC) Level 2? or Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification. Demonstrated engagement and/or leadership within a construction industry professional association or standards body such as CMAA, PMI, ACI, ASTM or equivalent organization, as evidenced by leadership positions held in such organizations. Licensure as a registered surveyor, professional engineer, or registered architect. Application deadline: May 3, 2018. Only complete applications will be considered.
