The Department of Civil Engineering and Construction (CEC) at Bradley University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the assistant professor level in the area of construction, starting in August 2018. Duties include teaching graduate and undergraduate courses, supervising students, and attracting funded research. Salary and rank are commensurate with qualifications. Applicants should have a background in construction management or a related field. Preference will be given to those with an earned doctorate in construction or a terminal degree in architecture. Applicants with a master’s degree and relevant experience are also encouraged to apply. A broad background in construction practice, CAD, project management, estimating, and scheduling, or surveying is preferred. Applicants must possess and maintain a valid driver license. The CETI hosts national and international conferences such as the Innovations in Construction, Asphalt and Transportation (ICAT) conference and the International Construction Innovations Conference (ICIC), which provide opportunities to network and partner with influential business executives, political leaders, and other academicians. The selected candidate will work with renowned faculty who have co-authored more than 25 textbooks. The selected candidate will also have unique opportunities to teach overseas through our study abroad programs in the UK, France, Egypt, Jordan, and other destinations. The department currently has 15 full-time faculty positions and approximately 275 students.
