As a member of the Quality team, the Global Operational Excellence Specialist is required to lead operational excellence and continuous improvement at all IEC Holden sites. S/he develops the Continuous Improvement Program and trains employees in continuous improvement and its execution.
The person we are looking for will be highly knowledgeable and experienced in Lean Six Sigma projects and will be aware of manufacturing industries’ best practices. S/he will have relevant experience in operations, business process design and implementation and will be able to provide structured training on Lean Six Sigma. The person will travel across all sites and coach multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful results and implementation of improvement projects leading to operational excellence. This is an exciting and dynamic position for the right person.
While this is a corporate function located in Montreal, we are open to candidates who are located and wish to work out of any one of our other IEC Holden offices in London, Ontario; Plattsburgh, New York; Fresnillo, Mexico; or Johannesburg, South Africa.
What does it take?
University degree & Lean Six Sigma training (Green Belt minimum)
ISO 9001 or other Quality Management System training
Quality-related certification, e.g. ASQ certifications, is an asset
Experience in continuous improvement, coaching and training
A strong drive for results
Ability to develop tools & templates to simplify tasks
Ability to travel internationally up to 30%
Ability to develop & maintain lasting relationships with all stakeholders
