We are currently seeking resumes from qualified Roadway Designers/EIT for our Santa Ana, California office. This junior-level position will assist senior design personnel in developing and completing roadway designs and contract documents. The purpose of the job is civil engineering production and design. This position will perform a full range of professional transportation engineering assignments in a full-functioning capacity as part of the Roadway group. This position may also help in other disciplines.
Ensuring the completion of work based on project schedules.
Preparation and checking of design calculations, quantities, cost estimates, specifications and project plans. Guidelines may be available, but may require adaptation or interpretation to determine appropriate courses of action.
Field assessment and inspection of structures and facilities.
Roadway design, coordination, CAD drafting and miscellaneous other engineering tasks.
Duties may also include marketing support on graphics or text related to upcoming projects.

Will need the ability to establish rapport quickly with others working on the same project, and be able to promote a positive team environment. A working knowledge of dealing with a diverse population while using tact, diplomacy, and respect.
BS in Civil Engineering
Passed FE Exam and holds an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificate
Experience with CAD standard drafting techniques, terminology and applications
Must have solid skills in planning, scheduling, organizing, problem solving, and decision making
ProjectWise experience a plus
Experience in MicroStation. AutoCAD experience a plus
InRoads and Civil 3D experience a plus
Multi discipline engineering experience a plus
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, technically proficient, possesses strong written and verbal communication skills, and is team-oriented. The ideal candidate is also willing to travel periodically and is capable of performing field work.
